Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies the response. Menominee County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be retained long enough to answer and manage the communication. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems receive basic technical information when a page loads, including:
- The pages viewed, their timestamps, and the length of the visit
- The referring website, when one is reported
- The device's assigned IP address
- The operating system and general device type
- The browser type and version
Cookies and Analytics

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Menominee County Criminal History does not compile, maintain, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its content identifies official sources such as the Menominee County Sheriff, 95A District Court, County Clerk, Michigan State Police Criminal Justice Information Center, and Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry. No visitor information is assembled into a consumer report or a record about another person, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes shown on the site. Their privacy policies, not this policy, apply to information submitted through those tools. Each partner chooses its own retention and disclosure practices. Review the relevant policy before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Menominee County offices, Michigan court portals, state agencies, legal resources, or outside search tools. Once you leave this site, the destination's privacy policy controls the visit. Check that policy before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select targeted ads. We do not operate that tracking infrastructure.

Applicable Michigan law may provide additional rights concerning personal data. The Michigan Freedom of Information Act, MCL 15.231 et seq., governs access to records held by public bodies, and MCL 28.243 governs dissemination of criminal-history information maintained by Michigan State Police. Those laws do not make this private website a Menominee County records custodian. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request access to personal information held about you
- Ask that inaccurate personal information be corrected
- Seek deletion of personal data where the law permits it
- Decline certain forms of data processing when an opt-out right applies
